Riverpark Medical Center incorporates a Digital Imaging Center, which offers patients a level of technological excellence, convenience and accountability unparalleled in the Miss-Lou area.

We're proud to feature the trend setting equipment from General Electric (GE) Medical, the leader in diagnostic imaging. Among the FIRSTS for our region are a high resolution MRI, four times the resolution and speed of an open MRI. We offer Multi-slice Light Speed CT, giving your physician up to 4X the information of conventional spiral CT. In addition we have one of the first digital mammography units in the south allowing the physician to zoom in, magnify, and optimize different parts of breast tissue without having to take another image. To compliment Digital Mammography we have added the FDA approved Computer Aided Detection (CAD) system which acts as a "second pair of eyes" for the radiologist. CAD works by applying a mathematical algorithm that digitally scans every inch of your mammogram and highlights all potential regions of interest. Our digital radiology Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) will make consultations and second opinions easily available anywhere the Internet can take you.

We also offer 3-D ultrasound, digital fluoroscopy, digital x-ray, and osteoporosis evaluation (bone density).

We believe our patients deserve the best today and tomorrow, that's why we have made a long-term commitment to keeping both technology and equipment current.

Riverpark Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy facility is not just a clinic – we are advocates for our patients' health and well-being.

At Riverpark Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy, we utilize a team approach to provide professional, personalized, high-quality treatment to members of our community.

We encourage an aggressive approach to rehabilitation, and we offer flexible appointment times with minimal or no waiting to accommodate our patients’ work and school schedules. We are advocates for our patient’s health, and we promote the development and maintenance of fitness and quality of life for all age groups. In accordance with the scope of practice developed by the American Physical Therapy Association, our staff strives to reduce our patients’ inflammation and pain, to treat and prevent injuries, to prevent impairment, to reduce or over-come functional limitations and disabilities, and to help our patients adapt to changes in health status or physical functioning that result from disease, injury, or other causes. We are located adjacent to the office of Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Specialist, Dr. J.H. Fairbanks. This allows Dr. Fairbanks to personally oversee patients’ therapy and to conduct post-op visits without the patient having to schedule a separate visit to the Orthopedic Center. Our main goal is for our patients to return as rapidly and safely as possible to their optimal level of performance in activities of daily living, work activities, and recreational activities.

Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) are designed for surgeries that do not require hospital admissions. Because ASCs must adhere to some of the most highly regulated standards of excellence in the industry, patients can be assured of receiving not only the best, but also the most cost effective approach to care.

Riverpark's Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) will offer our region:

  • High-quality, cost-effective outpatient surgical procedures
  • Flexible scheduling, easy access, a comfortable, stress free environment
  • State-of-the-art Operating Rooms
  • A dedicated, caring, attentive nursing staff focused on patient satisfaction

Patient Benefits

Our focus for the patient is on comfort and convenience. For example, River Park Ambulatory Surgery Center has a spacious, comfortable waiting room where the business office personnel attend to the needs of patients and their families.

There is a private conference room between the waiting room and recovery so that the physician can discuss a family member's procedure in private with the family. No more discussions in front of the elevator! The pre-op area has individual cubicles, some with toilets and doors to assure maximum privacy. There is room for family to be with the patient before surgery.

Built with the patient in mind, Riverpark's Ambulatory Surgery Center consists of three operating suites and all supportive services. Construction of ambulatory surgical suites is strictly regulated. Riverpark's suites, designed by an architect who is a specialist in medical facilities, are constructed to regulation down to the last detail.

We use only the latest and most advanced instrumentation systems. Our philosophy going forward will be to always place the best instruments in the physician's hands.

Cost savings for our patients is important to us. Fees for outpatient surgeries can be as much as one third less expensive than full service hospital procedures with no compromise in quality. These economies are passed on to the patient.
